Lakes Throughout the City
Lake Howell, the largest, along with Lake Kathryn, Lake Concord and the Triplet Chain of Lakes, puts many homes on the water or a short walk from it. Lake Concord Park, around City Hall, has an amphitheater, a sculpture garden and the Casselberry Art House next door. On lakefront homes we check the flood zone, the seawall or dock, and the shoreline at low water.
Established Homes, Updated or Not
Much of Casselberry was built from the 1960s through the 1980s, so a lot of the inventory is single-story concrete block homes, along with townhomes and condos. Some are fully renovated, others close to original. On older homes we look hard at the roof, electrical panel and plumbing, since insurers often require a four-point inspection, and we confirm sewer or septic.
17-92, Semoran and the Commute
US 17-92 runs north to south through the city, and State Road 436, Semoran Boulevard, crosses it, heading west to I-4 in Altamonte Springs and south toward Orlando International Airport. The 417 is a short drive east. Parks such as Secret Lake Park and Wirz Park give the neighborhoods green space between the commercial corridors.
